Music
Imagine browsing the web on a relaxing sunday afternoon then visting a website only to be greeted with loud music. You're going to close the window and have a negative feeling about that webiste.
Music is necessary for website that such as bands or recording studio but even then the music should not automatically start. Also, what you think everyone else might want to listen to might not actually be so!

If a company promises you "Number 1 Google results!" you should be very wary. Some companies offer link exchange plans, again, this will not help your website at all.

Do you have or need an online shop?
When an online shopping website is created there are four stages to look at.
1) The website
The website needs to be designed
in a clear, easy to navigate manner.
2) Shopping Cart
A shopping cart is created to gather the information from the website.
3) Payment Gateway
A payment gateway provider such as Worldpay, Nochex, Verisign, Paypal or Money bookers is used to process and verify the payment.
4) Merchant Account
Once the payment is verified, money is sent to your merchant account. This merchant account could be your own bank account or one of the many companies that provide both a payment gateway and merchant account in one (Paypal, Moneybookers, Worldpay...)
Once all of this is in place your ready to sell!

Have you tried Google Adwords?
They are the Google results that appear on the right hand of the page and usually as the top 3main results. Adwords can really help to get those enquiries in.
You set a daily budget, keywords and a cost per click rate for these keywords. Different keywords will have various cost per click rates. For instance, the keywords 'Flower Delivery' may cost £1.20 to appear on page one. This means when a user clicks on your Google ad after typing in those keywords you will be charged £1.20. Once your daily budget has been reached your ad will disappear. There are many variants you can set on your advert to make it more likely to be clicked by someone who wants to use your service.
It's a good idea to add niche keywords specific to your business. For instance here at Brighteyes
we would use less competitive keywords like "website design Birmingham", "website design Walsall" and "website design West Midlands" rather than "website design". These specific keywords are usually cheaper per click and also mean that the user is more likely to be interested in your service.
